Pepper -Flatcoat Retriever / Aussie mix. Pepper came from a hoarding situation and 4 years later she is still scared of everything. She loves being part of the pack, and is getting so much better about strangers being in our house. She is a work in progress, and this is OK with us.
Simon – Chiweenie. Simon was our 3rd “foster fail” when we were a foster family for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in Atlanta. Simon also came from a hoarding situation and he came to us from a house with 50 dogs who all had mange. Simon had literally no hair, and you will see “notches” in his ears – most likely from all the dogs having to fight for food. Simon is so lucky he is cute because he is the worst about still marking in the house…. but…. look at him. He definitely has the most personality.
Monkey – Black terrier. She was our 2nd foster fail. (Our first was Milo who devastatingly has passed). Monkey came to us when she was found on the streets with her 2 puppies. It’s hard to believe this little thing was on her own protecting her babies when they found her. They were both adopted out to wonderful homes. She is the most docile and easygoing of the bunch. Her and Simon are BFFs and are ALWAYS found snuggling together.
Luna – Westie – Luna was named for the moon and because at the time we got her, our other dog was named Stella. Get it? StellaLuna? (I love that book). Luna is the boss lady. She is alpha chick for sure. She actually went with my daughter to college for 2 years, but when my daughter went to grad school, it was too much time away from her apartment to take Luna. She loves roaming around outside, so our house suits her just fine.
